Exclusive : Antonio Rudiger is leaving Chelsea.

Simon Johnson has confirmed the news that was originally broke by Nathan Gissing who is a Chelsea based news source also going by the name of CFCNewsPage that Antonio Rudiger has decided to leave Chelsea.

Manchester United made the richest proposal but Rudiger wanted guaranteed champions league football and it seems Madrid are closing in, according to Nathan.

Simon Johnson’s report :

There is also no guarantee over what the new owners can afford and when they would be ready to discuss terms – if at all. A preferred bidder is expected next week, according to Simon Johnson.

Antonio Rudiger was offered up to £290,000 P/W by some clubs, although Rudiger was prepared to accept a lesser offer from Chelsea due to his strong connection with the fanbase and Tuchel.

It did not help matters that Romelu Lukaku was offered a base wage of about £340,000 a week.

Rudiger has been one of the best defenders in world football and one of the best for Thomas Tuchel and the manager will understandably be annoyed if this goes through.
