Match Preview : Chelsea out to hunt The Eagles Crystal palace in another London derby showdown

Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats when they face Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon at the bridge. The blues have endured a dismal start to the year with just 1 win in 10 games.

After suffering a 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Thursday night, Chelsea have been nailed to the 10th position on the log with just 25 points from their opening 18 games. While Potter’s men are 10 points behind 4th placed Manchester United, they are vastly echoing away from all European competition spots.

Chelsea’s injury concerns deepens as Denis Zakaria picked up a thigh injury at Craven Cottage. Christian Pulisic, Sterling, Reece James, Kante, Fofana and Mendy are also expected to miss out on what is a must win for Potter and his men.

Whilst Potter’s Options are being limited by injuries every match day, the likes of Datro Fofana, Badiashile, Carney Chukwuemeka, Omari Hutchinson are desperate and perhaps deserving of starts.

However, Joao Felix who was having a scintillating debut had his dream cut short by getting sent off halfway through the game and the Portuguese will have to sit this one out through suspension alongside two other key games for Chelsea.

Palace are going to welcome left back Tyrick Mitchell who has missed the last 3 games through suspensions after the England left back got sent off against Fulham at Selhurst Park. James McArthur and Nathan Ferguson are the only notable absentees for Viera’s men with Palace enjoying almost a clean bill of health.

Chelsea Predicted XI : Kepa, Azpilicueta, Silva, Koulibally, Cucurella, Kovacic, Jorginho, Chukwuemeka, Ziyech, Aubameyang, Mount.

Crystal Palace predicted XI : Guaita, Clyne, Anderson, Guehi, Mitchell, Schlupp, Doucoure, Eze, Ayew, Edouard, Zaha

My Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Silva, Koulibally, Hall, Kovacic, Jorginho, Chukwuemeka, Ziyech, Aubameyang, Mount.

Chelsea and Potter are proving to be their own nightmares lately, from individual errors to lack of character and a massive lapse in concentration. Whilst the blues are rapidly sinking beyond recognition, it is sacrosanct that they salvage whatever is left of an already gloomy and desolate season.
